Who is Allah……………………
Most of us, when we hear the name ‘ALLAH’ the thing that comes to our mind is Muslim’s God. Isn’t it? But it is a misconception to best of my knowledge. It may be not your fault since only Muslims use this word in your community.
Anyway the term ‘Allah’ in Arabic, means the God. In other words the word for the God in Arabic is Allah, that’s all about it.
But see, normally the Muslims are advised to use the word Allah instead of saying God / Lord, is all because the term Allah is so unique.
Do you know what the uniqueness of this word is? We Muslims believe that there is only one creator of this universe and he is the only one who sustains everything. We never associate any things / any one to our only God.
However if you examine the word Allah, there is no any plural forms or genders to this word. In example there is no a word like ALLAHS to make it plural and also there is no gender to this word. But if we come to the word God, it is possible to say Gods or Goddess and make the word /God in to different forms. But this is not possible with the word ‘Allah’.
This uniqueness is only for this term specially in Arabic. There is no such a Beautiful term to address your God in any other languages.
Also there are Christian Arabs around the world, they speak Arabic also they address the God as Allah.
So the conclusion is, if you want to address your God so honorably and give him the best of the respect the only way to call him addressing ‘ALLAH’.
Thank you.
